Divide and conquer. Create a problem then you can fix it: Hegelian dialectic/devils logic. Seem to be Trumps go to strategies at the moment but does he have the media/propaganda machine to pull it off long term? Very debatable. These strategies are the go to of the despot and usefully and most successfully deployed in conquered states and colonies. They invariably come at a high cost and this cost usually mounts until they and the despot fail (unless there is annihilation of decent). Acting these on your own people cannot work for the very obvious reasons- but we are in the early part of the chapter- and who knows nature may intervene- Trump does not seem incapable of learning, his back flip on the masks (after unleashing his attack dogs on Fauci) shows that he is not a total moron just an immoral buffoon!
