Hi Jantimot occasionallyeven teachers sometimes go off the rails and being armed at school might just cause one who snaps to finish off the school kids. Not good imo! Some may refuse to bear arms would that disqualify them from teaching? They don’t have basic gun controls in the USA and that is a problem. They don’t even prohibit people on terrorist watch lists from owning a gun. Its absolutely crazy. I agree with you that the horse has bolted and no solution can happen overnight, however, incrementally they can regulate to try and improve things and to at least try and keep guns from people who are disturbed or have criminal records or are on terrorist watch lists. Their should be registration of all fire-arms manufactured or brought into the country and strict requirements on sale that require criminal and security checks. A steep licence fee for each fire-arm could help and it would cover the cost of the checking processes and maintaining the data bases. Breaches should attract huge fines and confiscation and destruction of the weapons involved. The NRA has been allowed to facilitate this crazy system but I am hoping the children of America will rise up and along with parents and concerned citizens create a momentum that the NRA cannot overcome. This is their chance. Heres hoping it doesn’t just die out. Companies withdrawing involvement with the NRA has been a great move to raise the social conscience of all Americans.
