Trump has about as much love for NATO as Biden has for the Democrats telling him to drop out of the presidential race. Never short of confidence, Trump has also vowed he could end the Russia-Ukraine war, which has now dragged on for more than two years, within a day.
His rhetoric is enough to sendshivers down the spines of the countries within the military alliance, who fear those efforts are unlikely to go as well as Trump suggests and could see crucial support for Ukraine wiped away.
Those concerns underpin why this week's Trump-proofing efforts include NATO taking over co-ordinating the aid Ukraine receives from the US.

I've been wondering, and looking for any clear claims, that Trump has a plan to end war. last time he was POTUS he simply withdrew as many troops as he could and left the places loaded up with weapons and equipment, though some effort was made, and let the remnant go to hell.

so can anyone say what Trump would do to end the war?

@Scott th Ratbag; trying to second guess what Donald Trump will do to end the Ukraine-Russia war is not unlike playing Russian roulette.

Following the public exposures of the rapidly crumbling state of US President Joe Biden's mental acuity Trump is on track to all but eliminate the Democrats from government - after which he'll remove anyone in federal positions identified as unsympathetic to HIM.

As the USA's first dictator-in-chief, Trump will do like he did to the agreement with Iran re nukes - he'll just shred whatever he wants to knowing that noone in the USA can stop him.

IMO he'll start by instantly terminating funding to Ukraine and so too with Netanyahu's Regime - he'll refuse to supply more US weapons unless Israel actually pays for them, something it's unable to do unless it's global $Billionaire cohort step up to the plate in the expectation they'll be gifted Palestinian territory in exchange.

We could indeed be witnessing the final days of the USA operating as a democratic country as it descends into the civil war those who backed Trump's 'Insurrection' so desperately wanted.
