Correct again about Israel being close to Putin. When Obama admin created the worst US/Israel relations in modern times Israel turned to Russia. When I was in Jerusalem, Haifa, even the Dead Sea resorts, there were Russians everywhere...On holiday.
Interesting, the Orthodox Church holds a lot of sway in Jerusalem too. Putin's 'reborn' interest in and promotion of the church has big influence and benefits wherever Orthodox Church resides.
