The mistake you make benbradley is that you think people on the left are somehow different to people on the right side of politics. They're one and the same except that they were raised in different circumstances or that they're at different moments in their lives.

The Hippies of the 60s and 70s are the Conservatives of today. Many are wealthy now (mainly due to real estate) and they're old. They are right to dislike a big, meddling Government and to protect their assets in old age.

The hardline Unionists are happy to criticise Management yet they'd be the worst people you'd ever wish to work for, given their propensity towards favouritism, nepotism and corruption.

I'll give you an example in modern Oz politics. Jo Hockey was happy to get on his soap box, as a young man in University, protesting Uni. fees of maybe a couple of hundred dollars at that time. In a later incarnation he seemed hell bent on user-pays education that would cost students tens of thousands, putting many kids in great debt at exactly the wrong moment in their lives. On both occasions he was wrong.

You see, it's the loudest monkeys that hold sway. Those who think they know better than everyone else, the guys who like to tell the rest of the world how things should be, how to live their lives. The guys who like to tell the world how great they are, and - YES - they really do love the sound of their own voice.

SELF-INTERESTED, AMBITIOUS, LOUD, AGGRESIVE, UNIMAGINATIVE, CANT SEE THE WORLD FROM ANOTHER'S PERSPECTIVE MONKEYS (you and I amongst them).

You did know we're just monkeys right. Savages.

The good people are at home taking care of their families.
