Wait… wasn’t Ronald Reagan shot, despite having 6 armed secret service and police officers within a few feet of him?
Metal detectors and bullet-proof classrooms?
Sure…turn every school and university in America into Gitmo. Playgrounds and sporting fields will have to be abandoned though.
Arm all the teachers?
Well Mrs Krabtree who teaches social studies at Peoria Elementary is 56 years old and has never handled a gun in her life. She already has to pay for some of her own class supplies, but I suppose the school board can cough up for a Glock, pay for her weapons training and marksmanship courses.
Not sure how she’d go against a 19 year old with an AR15, what with her arthritis.
C’mon, we all know there’s a much simpler solution.
