Yes i believe Vladimir Putin has Trump in his pocket and obviously Turkey's Erdogan has leverage over Trump as well, enough that he would ignore his own Republican Party and Military advisers on allowing Turkey to invade Kurdish held territory in Syria.
Or maybe it was Rupert Murdoch who suggested this to Trump to get the impeachment debate off the front page and replace it with a little bloodshed in Syria at the Kurds expense. Nothing like a little distraction to throw the hounds off the scent!
