I would urge males to get a PSA test and if necessary a normal doc examination. In my case I went from low/ mid level PSA to Level 5 prostate cancer within the 12 month cycle and I caught the diagnosis in time. I was lucky to have experienced Dr Neil Smith urologist on the gold coast to advise me and I had a robotic operation to remove my prostate. Subsequently further tests showed the cancer completely removed with the removal of the prostate thus preventing further spread of the cancer which may not be easy to treat. I feel lucky to have dodged a bullet. Early treatment is the best bet and He advised males 45yrs and older to have good checks as that is the age where it starts and if you leave it too late it can have unpleasant consequences. Worth the investment for a longer life- do yourself a favour - get tested
