I made mention of this Trump order yesterday and the Lynas sp responding to such - It's brewing nicely - not a war by any means but trade but a cold war style yes. All the provocation someone mentioned is just foreplay.

Xi and his pals will be awaiting an outcome on U.S. election which will obviously have an enormous outcome however one thing is for certain - reo's supply globally is a mighty powerful weapon in China's control and that will not change any time soon - particularly the down stream processing of those magnets that only China can do - This is due to past and present global powers failure to act back in 2010 - now there is real urgency and will we see another boom like 2010 - very possible - i mean it's happening now with Lockheed Martin being suspended from Chinese supply - that is a top U.S. defense supplier. Sure they have some stockpile but seriously - the U.S. and others are really becoming concerned now.

All I can say is well played China and it doesn't stop there - graphite - anode graphite for EV batteries - the rest of the world is playing catch up because China has been investing and developing these critical materials for decades whilst the rest of global powers have power struggles and make decisions and subsequent massive spending on popular decisions for their relative populations simply to get elected or stay in power.

Trump for example can play the blame game on past presidents but what has he done in 3 years to develop REO'S - new EV revolution.

Well played China. There is so much anti China sentiment - sometimes justified (somethings are far from acceptable as we know but it's always been that way in many countries - China is just the same as many in that respect as we westerners see/do things differently but we have not or most of us have not endured what they have or even have the slightest understanding of their history and culture) - sometimes because they are way smarter and the communist way certainly has its advantages at times. A huge shift from a mainly agrarian culture of peasant farmers to what is now in 20 odd years - hard to see to many of the 1.3 billion people in the kingdom complaining. Anyway sorry about that but no one nation is perfect - look back in history some more recent - some further back.

Trump and his administration - good on them for trying to pull them into line and it will only have a minimal nett result as in time maybe sooner than later - that administration will be gone and things will change again but China and their administration - their 200 - 300 year plan will remain unlike the wests 3 year plans of trying to get elected or trying to stay in power policies.
