I dont know who this was.

Once police are deployed in this manner, their actions are already determined by training.
It can never end well if someone tries to halt/interfere with the line. Whether they are right or wrong, best to steer clear.
The old guy paid the price for standing up for what he believes, I wish him a speedy recovery (and a fat payout)

Trumps comments are just on par with his other comments, probably not a good source of fact.
Great for a story line though.

The blame for this accident lies solely at the feet of this activist who blatantly tried to interfere with the street clearing op.
I would call it self inflicted - I would also think he very much regrets his stupidity.
