One of the key aspects of Trump cultism appears to be glee at the misfortune of others. Some Trump supporters love getting up each day to metaphorically flush a "loser's" head in the toilet and laugh.
Does that continue even if it's their retirement plan and the economy in the toilet? What if a loved one dies unnecessarily because of the dysfunction and incompetence of the Trump government's response? Is there a point, when faced with suffering in their community, that they will regret the joy they felt in seeing pain in others? And as Trump gets increasingly incoherent and just plain weird in his nonsensical media conferences, will they ever see that for what it is?
I'm intrigued to see how far this loyalty goes, whether hate is the key component, and if anything will extinguish it.
