I'm just wondering what the other side of this 'deal' is? That bits been kept very quiet. The US (especially now that Trump is running the joint) isn't knowing for its generosity - so whats the other side of the coin? The media seems to have forgotten to ask that question.

After all when Gillard did a deal (was it with Malaysia? I forget) - it wasn't a 1 for 1 people swap - it wasn't skewed in our favour. Yes I agree we'll save some money with Nauru (provided others don't come along to take their place) but there will be huge offsetting cost in resettlement.
