When conservatives reject democracy, you get fascism.
David Frum put it best: "If conservatives become convinced that they can not win democratically, they will not abandon conservatism. The will reject democracy.”
That's what we are seeing. Trump's conspiracy theories are similar to the ones used in authoritarian socialist or fascist regimes. Democracy becomes the enemy.
