There are a lot of courses being offered that shouldn't be at a University level. The current funding model of "bums on seats" ensures that Universities will try to collect as many students as possible even if they drop out in the first year. The really sad thing is the low entry levels required to enter teaching. Doesn't bode well for future generations. We should have the best of the best involved in the teaching profession.
