Before there was any talk of CO2 and GW or Climate Change there were laws to stop pollution and sensible normal people were conscious of the environment and of pollution
The fact is that the government departments who were supposed to enforce the laws did their usual thing and stayed in their A/C offices and sent emails to other workers about their weekend plans and parties.and did not enforce the laws
Solar panels of roofs are a good move if the economics suit your situation
My father was a builder and the homes he built were environmentally correct even though that term had not been invented when he was building, others were the same, they used a faculty which is now sadly missing called "common sense"
So of course there are loads of people who care about the environment but that does not mean that they agree with paying power bills that are at minimum three time higher then they were previously
EG -with NO CHANGE in the environment
As to all the government transport using electric vehicals maybe the public should be asking if they are proven to be cheaper or more beneficial, or are they just a "political" statement by some unknown pen pusher
