I used to have a number of stocks on DRP, but over the years I noticed that I could have purchased cheaper before the DRP commenced or after it finished, than those allocated under the DRP - so I cancelled the DRP on all my stocks.
Perhaps things have changed since then.
In this instance perhaps the BB will mitigate/alter the effect, as it's common sense to buy back shars cheaper than the shares you need to allocate under the DRP.
