Optimism is great Vet and we all need it to be able to move on. I am optimistic also. I still hold hope for Newsat.
I just wish we had someone at the helm who knew how to steer. I would certainly like to be more optimistic but nonetheless I still see light at the end of the tunnel. In times gone by my optimism knew no bounds and all was great. Unfortunately that is not the case now and we have to face the reality. Those who cannot or refuse to face it only deny themselves [and those who might misguidedly follow them] the truth of the moment.
However there is a big difference between optimism taking in to account our current situation and using that as the basis for understanding the immediate future than their is by joining dots, creating images, etc. That is not reality. It is creating an optimism based on irrelevant and imaginary "what if" scenarios, expanding them in to some sort of loose hope and spreading it as our future prospects. That is fraught with danger and is self delusional. Waffle about relativism is just that. Waffle [and a smoke screen]
I don't need to join dots, pluck figures or scenarios from the air, create images, etc. I only report and comment on the facts as they are. AB is great at creating all the negativity all on his own. He doesn't need any help from me but he certainly seems to need a big cheer squad on various forums constantly glossing over his mismanagement and trying to make him smell like roses. Must be a very hard thing to constantly be trying to do.
Vet, I am optimistic but nonetheless we must be realistic as well. At the moment the scales are tilted against us. That is realism.
Hopefully they can be brought back to center and I have high hopes that they can. That is optimism.
