    The reason I'd say CJ is that it costs them time ( and therefore money) for someone to make these changes to their systems, which cost money to run.

    If you didn't register it in the right way initially, then I'm afraid it's your cost to fix. Maybe have a word to whoever told you to do it that way. Or was that your own decision? Apologies in advance if I sound abrupt, but welcome to the world of SMSF compliance.
