Faulty representation. Should be a straight line. The "truth" should be the conclusion to the observation/question...if the science is done correctly. If this then leads to further observations/questions then the same path is followed to it's conclusions. If you are just observing/questioning the researched topics conclusions then you need to critique the methodology of the test or the analysis of the data. If these are found to be faulty then you can re-research the same topic or else you are just repeating someone else's work...which is not how proper science is done. Science (unbiased) tells truth for the level of understanding, at the time. Don't confuse/conflate truth with ultimate/infinite/unwavering truth.
