Certainly in enclosed environments they need to de-tune the batteries to dramatically reduce the fire risk
Imagine a Lithium fire two km below the surface that they cannot extinguish
Although Lithium has an inherent fire problem as a chemical IMHO the major problem with Lithium batteries is that they have pushed the technology far beyond the safe limit
To endeavor to make the technology marketable they have exceeded the limits of the batteries in the crazy race to sell EVs
IE if they did not overstress the batteries they could not sell the EV concept
But in a closed workplace they don't need the maximum output to operate and would be far safer
