Nuclear and the opposition are a direct threat to Labors ability to spend taxpayer's money in their electorates and on projects they control. This directly affects the left's fear message and its unholy alliance with the Greens. Labor needs the Greens to get into power. This is the main reason they pursue this un-costed madness. If they don't hurl those idiots a bone, its all over. The taxpayers are just the meat in the sandwich. Labor do not care about reality or the costs of these projects at all. They want to be able to say they are spending money, and creating jobs and saving the planet. Australia can't have 1.5m new arrivals and have any hope of reaching the fake net zero promise. That was never, ever going to happen. It was a direct spin lie to get sucker voters. You tell voters they are going to die and then go ahead with the fake promise of preventing a catastrophe. If we built several nuke power stations, then their ability to spread the money around to their pet companies and mates dries up. The renewables also consume a lot of additional funding to maintain and operate. The stuff falls apart and comes from China. It does not have a long life and its toxic to recycle. Labor will not be honest with the costings either. They have regulated and driven the cost of fossil fuel through the roof in order to make renewables competitive. That is inflationary and has driven many people into a cost-of-living crisis. Its a mess run by people who should be running anything imo.
