the LNP - particularly the Liberals, are trying to achieve survival. Ie. merely avoiding death- oblivion.

if you are somewhere near central , then think about how many are- roughly. It’s a pretty big slab of a population.

Most in that group have some reasonable level of analytical skill. There aren’t too many total morons or crazies in there - the crazies are out towards the edges.

Now the Liberals can be described as conservative types- whilst some have argued that they are not a Conservative Party- if one looks at their traditional positions and principles, it looks like a plain vanilla conservative setup.

So return again to the idea that it’s impossible in the rapidly changing technological era to run on conservative principles- it’s impossible to have practical policies that match those principles- just can’t be.

So, anyone who analyses it to any degree notices that mismatch. And they move on to someone or some group where it does match.

Hence the decimation of the Liberals

So how can the Liberals respond if they wish to survive?

They have 2 options

1. reform

2. target others

1. is too hard- no space to the left and a planned move to the right is usually not a long term plan

2. target who? too hard to target any left of centre - so what else is left in the barrel to choose from?

The loonies towards the right hand edge

and there you have it - crazy simplistic promises, impossible plans targeting the loonies . Those who have no analytical skills and just chant ‘great idea’ , like parroting a message, and ‘kick the other pigs out’ which is the best example of an original thought they can muster


the objective is merely to arrest decimation from turning into oblivion
