They would just like a humble home about 30-45 mins from the city, no pool (freezing in Melbourne anyhow), a bed room for the kids so they have to share a bed (end up getting bad sleep). That wasn’t possible in Melbourne unfortunately. A flat wasn’t an option given their deep love for animals and rescuing animals. I am being straight up with you, at present Melbourne and Sydney is expensive. Not all are blessed as academics with professional jobs. Some work the tough roles in the caring sector which never compensates well and yet looks after the most vulnerable.
Each to their own. The outcome was good for me, for my LICs specifically. Not so good for my kids, and their kids. I’m sure eventually things will change when homelessness goes up and crime goes up.
Hopefully we don’t end up like America.
    Disgusting country of inequality.
