Electric cars are little more than expensive toys for rich teal people to virtue-signal with.

Electric vehicles are great for the golf course to get around 18 holes, but useless for most Australians, especially those living in regional areas.

And the idea that Electric Cars are somehow better for the environment is a complete con job - firstly their 200kgs of extra weight requires substantial more mining and use of raw materials.

Most electric cars are charged overnight, increasing demand on the grid when solar power is zero. And as you can’t ramp up wind power to meet the increased demand, the added demand in the grid for electric cars on the Australian mainland will come from fossil fuels." - Craig Kelly
