    Farmers are installing renewable energy in droves.

    Solar powered water pumps and electric fencing.

    Large solar arrays on dairy farms to offset the gouging by power companies in peak periods.

    Then there's all the other things used on the farm. ATVs that travel short distances each day can be easily electrically powered.

    Even electric tractors are entering the space. Not suitable during harvest but certainly useful for the rest of the year. Farmers have more than one tractor these days. There's no reason why one of them couldn't be electric.

    If a farm has a commercial sized solar system then it clearly can support an ev road car during as well. There are many synergies for farmers to move to renewable energy.

    Less and less reliance on the grid. Less and less reliance on petrol and diesel. More reliable machinery that requires much less maintenance.

    It seems the smart farmers already know this. The dumb ones will take a while to catch up.
