EV technology has been with us for nearly 100 years. Lithium Battery technology is in its infancy, but not electric powered vehicles. In the 1920s electricity was often the preferred mode of power. London even had electric delivery vans around the turn of the century (1900). So! EVs have had about 100 or so years of development and ICE "Otto cycle " engines since 1874.
Apropos of nothing perhaps. But a little bit of totally unbiased perspective on the matter. The ICE engine is a poor idea marketed superbly. We can probably blame/thank Henry Ford for that. Edison was obviously not good at marketing.
