Where in the heck did you get the idea that you have to change the "prime mover" out in 5 years in an EV. All major manufacturers have a 7 to 10 year warranty on the EV drive train. Tesla was even talking of a Million Mile battery. As an aside miles are a poor metric for battery life because it should measured in number of cycles but that is Elon for you, he doesn't advertise but he knows how to grab a headline.

Now if you are talking Landcruiser V8s there are several around here that have been dusted by cracks in the intake between the aircleaner and turbo, that's where you need to change the prime mover in an expensive car in less than 5 years.
