The root causes of the Concorde crash are well documented.

The tank was punctured due to an overload of fuel ie no air
cushion. This was pure pilot error. Concorde wing tanks
had suffered impact damage a number of times in their history
without catastrophic failure. Read up on it. There
were so many things wrong all at once and all human
    error.

The Concorde was really killed off by the Moslem Terrorist
attack on the World Trade Centre on 11th Sept 2001
    (US local time).

None of this is relevant to the issue of EV's as practical,
all round, vehicles in real Australian conditions.

Enthusiasts talk about the speed and acceleration.
Most people are only concerned with reliability, range
and cost. I imagine insurers will be looking closely at
the instances of fires caused by indoor charging too.

"Working from home" will become a euphemism for
"I forgot to plug the car into the charger".
