Thankyou for that info on the Cybertruck, I and many others had assumed that Elon had decided not to bring it here. It most certainly won't arrive for many years, deliveries haven't actually started in the USA yet and they have several years of orders to fill in the USA first. Then Tesla will have to produce a RHD version and comply with our ADRs so don't hold your breath.

Personally I think all the American pickups (ICE and EV) are too large for our market, I am assuming that some Hilux/Ranger sized or a bit smaller utes will eventually arrive. I understand that LDV has just sent an EV ute to NZ so if if its quality is better than their ICE versions that is a possibility. Then an Australian company is converting Hiluxes, they are still $100K so a bit much at present but their plan is to produce a dedicated EV ute (rolling chassis built offshore) so we will see how that works out.
