EV's can tow better than ICE (more torque).

ICE also go through a lot more energy (fuel) when towing. Same as EV. EV's can get more juice on the go when braking (so add to the batteries). In Norway they found that they generated as much electricity going down a hill, as they used to get up it.

Most EV's are safer (more options for crumple zones, and no engine to squish your legs), better handling (centrally distributed weight, like a premium sports car), roomier (no central tunnel for taking up space), cheaper to run (free if you charge at home with solar; much cheaper than fuel if you charge at home at normal rates; still much cheaper than fuel if you charge and pay at a fast charger; zero (tesla) or very little (other OEM's) maintenance costs per year (bit of a con from the OEM's, as there's nothing to service/maintain on an EV apart from normal things like tyres); much faster (100% torque whenever you want it); more fun to drive; pretty quiet; not smelly.

The more km's you drive each year, the more money you save, and the quicker you break-even (normally within 3 years), so the rest of the time you have the car, you are keeping thousands of dollars a year in your bank account, instead of spending it on fuel, maintenance, repairs.

Next year there will be hatchbacks in Aus for $35k. EV's will get cheaper over the next couple of years, and be on par with ICE in the same segments. Do you really want to be paying the same price for an ICE, and then thousands extra per year on fuel and maintenance?

Here's a few excel spreadsheets (for different comparisons... you only need one, then edit to whatever you want) where you can do your own comparisons (based on the ICE, EV, purchase costs, and how many km's per year, fuel costs, elec costs etc).
