If Befesa are not cost competitive in the U.S, they are not cost competitive anywhere else. Befesa and it's status as a competitor has been well and truly researched and discussed previously, one thing I do agree with Firsova about, is that they are possible purchaser of MHM, I don't think it's especially likely, but they have shown themselves to be keen to acquire businesses.
NMP and SPL have always been, as I've mentioned before, referred to as 'Additional technologies', separate to the salt slag and associated revenue. If sales of value added NMP product are suddenly claimed to have been part of the $8.6m predicted revenue, that will be quite deceptive. I'll be surprised if that happens.
Alox80 is pretty certain to be very profitable, as Magix's link yesterday showed. I've also found similiar prices (around $2000 per tonne) from other companies. Here is a link to company selling 400lb drums for $676, which is well over $3k per tonne. Strangely the 50lb bag is $56 from this company.

The issue will be how much they can sell and/or how much waste they can get hold of to process and how many tonnes of waste they need to treat to produce a tonne of Alox 80.
I'm tipping around 5-6 tonnes treated for one tonne of Alox 80, based on around 35% of the waste being returned to aluminium oxide and about 50% of that tonnage being the final output of the value added product.
I base the last 50% guess on MHM's earlier statements about NMP, which were along the lines of "each year in Australia 50k tonnes of NMP is being produced, which would result in 25k tonnes of aluminium metal."
None of the posts yesterday really accounted for NMP being profitable, but it is now very low risk to allow for some revenue from it. However we still don't know the details.
