Trying hard to fail

As it happens, I'm in the market for a service which Ovanti offers - an SMS messaging API.I work for an ERP software provider, and we want to offer a feature to send SMS messages to customers who are have regular orders but have not placed their order before a cut-off day/time.

Food wholesalers and restaurants are what this is aimed at - our customers are the food wholesalers and they want to remind the restaurants that have forgotten to order their products for the week and the deadline for the delivery window is closing.

We also want to send an SMS notification when the delivery truck is on the way to their premises to drop off their orders.

I've looked at a few platforms, such as Twilio - but I knew, as a shareholder, that Ovanti do have some SMS services so I thought I'd check it out.Visiting their website and sure enough they have an SMS messaging API - Web SMS Broadcast.




There isn't any detail on the service - no pricing no API docs or anything - so I thought I'd fill out their contact form and get a line of inquiry started that way.

The problem is you can't even submit the form - you always get confronted with a Captcha error.

I tried several times, but always got the same error.

It was bad enough that they didn't put the information I needed to consider becoming a customer on their website, and made me fill out a form to ask for it - but to have that fail... that's almost like they don't actually want new customers.

It certainly appears they have stopped trying.
