You should take into consideration that BMO will merge with Aflease already issued a convertible bond of $90m, maturing in 2012. Not in the presentation but in the news release they mentioned that they will be looking to raise R120 (A$18) million before June 2009. It might be tough in the next months, there are plenty companies around trying the same.
However, given the change ratio of 20:1 for Gold One, there is currently no significant advantage for BMO shareholders compared with Aflease shareholders at current sp.
