They make compelling arguments about their thoughts on the valuations of TSLA. In addition, the hype around the 4680 battery must be tempered. Panasonic make the batteries for Tesla and:
"The larger capacity, however, may also make the cells more difficult to produce. They are prone to overheating, because it’s difficult to disperse heat from their center, and are also more susceptible to particle contamination, which can cause a short circuit leading to a fire, Takamoto explained."
Panasonic added they would sell the new battery to anyone, nothing exclusive with anyone.
The Tesla Semi was announced in 2017...still no sign of it for 2022...indeed EV trucks are already present in Australia with Volvo and Fuso...so Tesla isnt even first into EV for trucks. Same for offroad...the GM Hummer EV is real and will be sold early 2022 - no Cybertruck to be seen.
