depending on the rock they encounter 150-200 metres can accomplished a day, thats probably good conditions though.
The horizontal well may take longer because as they hit resiviors they nedd to slow down.
But the advantage of horizontal rather than having to drill vertical wells at every resivoire is with one drill all the resivoires can be tapped and produced from one well.
In other words, more productive.
