TTT chart thread, page-233

I'm a fundamentalist by training and at heart, but I also think it's a bit short sighted not to consider price action in decision making. I ignore virtually everything but straight up price and volume (I don't have level 2). What I find to be very useful is marriage of both disciplines. I liked the TTT story and had been in and out once prior, but it was the consolidation and then breakout volume on 27th April, combined with the announcement that got me back in and the next three weeks gave me a 100%. Personally, I exited a few days ago at 2.75 as I didn't like what I saw, but I'm far from adverse to re-entering and missed my chance yesterday due to being otherwise occupied. The price and volume confirmation from a fairly tight range gave me the confidence it was a higher probability not to be a false breakout. You see this situation time and time again and the combination of the two is very powerful, particularly as many companies' are leaky ships, truly efficient markets are for uni students, the chart provides a good indication of what's going on with order flow when accompanied by volume, and subsequent sustained volume and fomo's what creates gains. Before I used price and volume in addition to fundamentals I could wait a long time to see action, but at least with some technicals this time frame is markedly reduced on average which can thus boost annual returns. After all fundamentals don't drive the price, it's buyers and sellers responding to it that do, plus responding to a whole bunch of other stuff, including emotions, that aren't in standard fundamental analysis. I think some charting is mumbo jumbo but to completely resign the skill/art to the rubbish bin i believe is to also miss out. After all when I'm performing detailed fundamental analysis there are a heck of a lot of assumptions involved... DYOR
