Unfortunately I have to deal with solicitors every day. They are a pain in the arse. They never want to solve a problem, so they analyse just like this guy. No big picture at all and no solutions. They just bugger things up. For instance - if someone owes $$$$$ for their strata levies they will argue about whether a notice was served right etc etc when the owner now has the notice and must pay. They just look for ways to cause issues and find ways to spend time on jobs. Hopeless souls. Their brains get trained around "the hourly rate" and they really think they are worth $600 per hour. !!!!
