Newborn, sorry for the delay in answering. I was temp suspended and just noticed this today.
1) Yes. 2) Yes. 2.1, 2, 3) The spread that's in the direction of the movement. Keep in mind large spreads aren't that great a signal as you can get trapped. So narrow spreads imo show correct price action. 3) Yes.
The only thing I like about VSA is volume spikes. I'm a short term trader so VSA is redundant for my style of trading. I look for the over all chart landscape to be more positive than negative. And to have clearly defined signals that I can follow to ultimately take a position.
I know that's not much. But to go into detail would require about 3 - 4 months.
