Turkey (the bird eaten at Christmas and Thanksgiving in North America) does not come from the country of Turkey. In the country of Turkey that bird is not called a Turkey but called ‘Hindi’ (meaning from India). But they are not from India either. In the country of India it is called a ‘Turki’.

It actually originates from North America…..
