Patterns depend on the completion of their time scale before they offer valid signals, but in the meantime they provide some hints and a way of conceptualising the market moves which we otherwise only observe in visual form. Purely on a personal basis, I'm standing aside atm.The big moves have happened, and there might be others, but I expect whipsawing until dow opens. If that offers direction, well and good, but I'm looking for confirmation of a short position. Longs on dow are pretty sus atm imho, its sooo overbought, and the volatility on xjo today and the spi daily candle all point to a short trade. Just my opinion.
