SPI Futures traded in a 67 point range last night, with a high of 6538, low of 6471, and a close this morning at 6480, down 52 points, on low volume of 9,300 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. As soon as the 6533 gap filled yesterday, it was time to go short. Gaps from last night are up at 6434, 6432, 6510, 6506, 6500, 6491 and the first one down from a previous day is at 6438.
In the headlines. Word of the day - Geopolitical. US and China trade war appears to have escalated into a full-blown economic conflict. Gold back up over 1,500 an ounce. US Treasury bond yields collapse (Bingo, I win da prize). Hong Kong airport shut down, Chinese tanks on the border. Dogs and cats living together. DOW down 1.49 pct, SNP down 1.23 pct and Canada (resource driven) down less, at .63 pct. VIX up 17.36 pct to 21.09. All three Volatility Indices were up double digits. Have a nice day.
Today in 1942, The 'Manhattan Project' commenced, under the direction of US General Leslie Groves: its aim - to deliver an atomic bomb. The New York Stock Exchange is an American stock exchange located at 11 Wall Street, Lower Manhattan, New York City. It appears that A bomb went off last night.
