SPI Futures traded in a 31 point range last night, with a high of 6618, low of 6587, and a close this morning of 6592, down 5 points, on low volume of 5,766 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels for today are below. Three days in a row, SPI in the red, US in the record green. The outstanding gap from the day session at 88 filled last night, leaving two gaps up at 6598 and 6603. Next one down from a previous day is at 6558 and next one up from a previous day is at 6625.

Look at those headlines - New record highs on Wall Street (Six record highs in a row). Earnings seasons kicking-off, (did I hear cost-cutting?) and China GDP data hitting a 27-year low. DOW up .10 pct, SNP up .02 pct and Canada (resource driven) up .14 pct. VIX up 2.34 pct to 12.68 bucking the inverse correlation again. Humm - Oh, give me a sign. No lift-off Monday yesterday... Lift-off Tuesday ? Maybe, maybe not. Have a nice day.

Today in 1969, Apollo 11 was launched, carrying the first men to land on the Moon. Apollo 11 was launched by a Saturn V rocket from Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida, on July 16 at 13:32 UTC, and was the fifth crewed mission of NASA's Apollo Program. Kind of like watching the launch of six record day highs on Wall Street. However, the crew of Apollo 11 did return to Earth, just like the market will. What goes up, must come down - eventually. It's just a matter of time.
