Tuesday July 30 - Somethings bugging me

SPI Futures traded in a 36 point range last night, with a high of 6795, low of 6759, and a close this morning just off the top, at 6792, up 33 points on still low volume of 6,300 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. Bottom left of chart, to top right of chart. Will be interesting to see what transpires once the volume returns. No gaps above, and gaps from last night down at 6791, 6787, 6786, 6784, 6782, 6780 and 6767, then 6750 from yesterday's day session. DOW up .11 pct, SNP down .16 pct and Canada (resource driven) down .24 pct. VIX up 5.51 pct to 12.83. Humm. Have a nice day.



Today in 2003, the last 'old style' Volkswagen Beetle, officially named the Volkswagen Type 1, and unofficially known as "The Bug" rolled off the assembly line in Mexico (No. 21,529,464) . A new style Beetle was later produced, but after roughly seven decades of production and three generations of designs, Volkswagen retired its iconic Beetle this year. Alas, Herbie the love bug is no more, and Herbie will not ride again. If anyone owns one, please take care of her, as it just bugs me to see somebody abuse a decent piece of machinery. What does a Beetle have in common with an elephant? They both have a trunk in the front.
