Dr. Sykes started showing how volatile market was leading up to that night and went on to explain that that was nothing compared to the over-night action, with the 50pt point spreads that were appearing(and being 'hit'), meaning his 3 x 1 Pt. n Figure charts had 'literally' gone thru the floor as he proceeded to move the media down into his basement proudly shown his charts stuck on the stair walls as they stumbled 'into the abyss.

No sorry, not familiar with the man. I was in Tokyo during the 87 crash..
