SPI Futures traded in a very small 14 point range last night, with a high of 6473, low of 6459 and a close this morning at 6461, down 2 points on pathetic volume of 3,200 contracts.  Due to the small range, I won't bother with levels. This mornings close - 6461, Saturday morning was 6464 and Friday morning was 6462. Not much has happened - yet. Gaps from last night up at 6471 and 6470, then 6487 and 6493 from previous days and down at 6460 from last night and many below that, starting with 6442 and 6434, and let's not forget the opening gap from May 20th, the nice 80 pointer, down at 6368. Europe mostly in the green but not by much. US markets were closed for Memorial day. US futures were open and the ES closed at the same level they opened. Have a nice day.

Today in 1959, Monkeys Able & Baker zoomed 300 miles (500 km) into space on a Jupiter missile, becoming the first animals retrieved from a space mission. Fruit fly larva and sea urchin eggs also accompanied Able and Baker, who both survived the flight; Able, though, died four days after the flight from a reaction to the anesthetic given during surgery to remove an electrode. Baker died at age 27 in 1984 and is buried in Huntsville, Alabama - visitors sometimes leave bananas on her grave. Now, if only we could get Monkey's to trade, as they like pushing buttons.. especially red and green ones, plus, they work for bananas.
