SPI Futures traded in a 36 point range last night, with a high of 6627, low of 6591, and a close at the bottom of the range, at 6591, down 32 points, on low volume of 8,808 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. Three oustanding lower gaps filled last night, leaving ones up at 6607, 6624 and 6626 from last night, and 6647 from yesterday. One gap below from a previous day, down at 6564.

In the headlines - Not much enthusiasm. The market perhaps focusing on the word 'progress' as opposed to 'deal', in regards to the US-China 'continuing' trade war. The market has had the rug pulled out from underneath it before, and it's still October - you know, those Missiles of October, and earnings are back in focus. Europe mostly in the red, DOW down .11 pct, SNP down .14 pct and Canada (resource driven) down less, at .05 pct. VIX down 6.48 pct to 14.57. Have a nice day.

Today in 2000, Larry David's American comedy series "Curb Your Enthusiasm" debuted on HBO. The series starred Larry David who co-created Seinfeld, as a fictionalized version of himself, in his life as a semi-retired television writer and producer. Plots often revolved around his many faux pas and problems with certain social conventions and expectations, as well as his annoyance with other people's behavior. The character has a hard time letting such annoyances go unexpressed, often leading him into awkward situations, and is routinely the victim of elaborate misunderstandings. Yes, traders must learn to curb our enthusiasm too, or Mister Market will make a date for you, and to quote Larry David, “A date is an experience you have with another person that makes you appreciate being alone.”
