bit unrelated but did anyone else get the email today from Maq bank? they ran their quant model on the melbourne cup and came up with the top three place getters. Pretty amazing especially if you made use of it for the trifecta, sure some fat cats over at maq bank did, the biggest weight in their model (25%) was momentum (odd movement) and smallest was (5%) age and barrier.

The last 2 months been like watching paint dry trading the index, havent made a cent, hope others are doing better, I need another fat finger trade in May to get a bit of movement. Rate rise might cause a bit of commotion though, parity is just a stones throw away again.
