Thanks I'll check that out.

I've only been able to figure out minimal use for moving averages thus far... With so many supports and crossovers to choose from I end up figuring there's be a better way.

You mentioned a few times that you consider a 12 month sma to be reliable indicator and I see what you mean when I look at 2000 to 2008 but when I checked the same average through 1932 to 1942 it seemed to catch too little of the moves and generate too many whipsaws..
