You couldn't script it. I played Bruce Springsteen "Going Down, Down, down" last and 5 minutes later all the power in neighbourhood went out!
A scheduled power outage but I was not aware of it. Being bored I didn't know what to do so headed out on the road with my high beam torch and started spotlighting hoons in the area. Then following it up with a flashing strobe that made them sheet their dacks and take off never to be seen again for the night. It was fun while it lasted though.
When all the hoons were gone I retired to my bed. Fortunately had the ipad was fully charged so started reading a book from ibooks. What a bloody saviour that was!
The night was not yet over, however. At 4.30 am the power was reconnected which made me wake 10 minutes later because the electric blanket turned on and it was maximum temperature and the tv was blaring in the distance. For comfort I now turned my attention to world stockmarkets and realised then the world has ultimately turned against me and have decided to join the dark side and lovviiinnng it...
Bought a new microphone and hoping to reproduce music clips like this but cheating with heaps of mixing...lol
