I am not saying the mkt will not go up ! BUT I am asking why SWAP hedging for AUD/USD is at many yr highs !? Just because Aussie bk's are MASSIVELY borrowing offshore does not mean our mkt will go down tomorrow or even the next day ! All I am saying is - what happens if offshore credit dries up again AND can western gov'ts con't providing credit to the mkts!?
Stop and have a think about the 00's ... our (capital) mkt's were continually tested !! This is a fact ! (Tech bubble, 911, Iraq, Lehamn, BEar etc) I believe we will be tested again, but unfortunately, I think our capital mkts are much much weaker than the previous 20 yrs and will have trouble with the next outlier .. !
